Ghod sets her on the excessively large bed and moves some stray hair out of her face. Then Nautra all but throws him out of the way to begin her work. So Ghod contends himself with unsuccessfully searching for clothes that might fit her until Nautra asks him how it happened.
"A highway man, in the forest."
In response, she looks him up and down with a face that asked about his own lacking of clothes. He pretends not to notice and asks, "How is she?" instead.
"She will be fine, have some clothes brought here for her."
Ghod laughs, "You would think you were in charge Nautra." She ignores him as she usually does when he makes comments like that and he stick his head out the door to pass on the command. Closing it quickly when Fail tries to reach him again. I don't need more bad news quite yet. Nautra decides she was done and covers maurelle with a sheet up to her shoulders. She then says "Feed her next time she wakes, she seems to be going in and out." And disappears out the door.
Ghod, now alone with maurelle, sits on the bed and waits for her to wake. She looks peaceful and he envies that. It still calms him somewhat to see that though.

][She sits up, the sheet falling from her chest. She notices her nudity and brings the sheet back up. She looks around a bit more and spots Ghod. She tilts her head at his solied appearence.][

Ghod blinks in surprise and jumps. He had fallen into a exhaustion induced sleep while staring at her. He rubs his eyes and realizes he had managed to do that without closing his eyes.
"Hu...wha...your awake?....There was something.....Oh!....Are you hungry?"
He blinks at her a few more times. "God, everything is blurry. Are you alright?"

"...Uh...." Ghod continues to rub his face with both hands. "You, were....uh....drugged and robbed.....I think. I found you though....and....uh....something....."
Ghod tries to think, but he can't seem to focus on anything. How long have I been awake? I should have saved strength. His eyes close and his hands stop working his face. He slowly starts to tip over.

][She blushes ralizing she was naked. Sighs and drags Ghod over to the bed roughly placing him in it then climbs under the covers.][

Ghod snored once and rolled over, burying his face in the pillow and draping one arm over Maurelle, who he didn't seem to notice. And now that he was laying down, it didn't seem that he would be waking any time soon either.
Now, they say dreams come in a form of lighter consciousness, but Ghod dreamed now anyways in his deep slumber.
He was in the village where his memory began, but it was a gruesome scene before him, not at all the haven he found it as. Cottages were burning and women were screaming. One woman, with a black stain down the front of her blouse stumbled from a doorway toward him, wielding a kitchen knife. She didn't make it 20 paces before she collapsed and the stain began spreading across the hard packed ground.
He started towards her and lifted his hands to help. That was when he noticed the objects he held: I torch and bloody sword.
A new scene flashed into his head, the traveling people that took him in. The same fate held them and he held the only weapons.
Again, the farming couple where he earned a room and meal. Again, the apartment in the city where he attempted to hide. Again, the noble's manor with bloodied guards everywhere.
Again, his camp. Greenhelms everywhere, strewn with blood and dismembered, some alive still, and crying out. Eying him and trying to crawl away. And, again, he held his sword in an unsteady hand, still dripping.
On the bed he began to moan and sob.

Ghod began to mumble softly, his face buried in the pillow made it all the more difficult to understand him.
"It is my fault, I as good as killed them all. I did kill them. Why do I always carry sorrow on my heals? I just want peace. I just....want.....peace......."
As his nightmares continued, he rapped his arms around the pillow and rolled onto his back so the pillow still buried his face. "Who is next? Oh don't let another woman die......please don't." His arms fell to his sides again and his muscles relaxed as the dreams seemed to subside

He jumps slightly when he sees Maurelle above him. "Oh, sorry, I thought you were someone else. What was that you said? And..." Ghod's dazed expression falters a bit to let a smirk through, "...did you just kiss me?"
